Power
The entire power supply of the Düsseldorf data center is designed as a dual power and emergency power supply with an uninterruptible A and B supply and with an additional redundant supply for all critical technical building systems such as air conditioning, cooling, ventilation and security systems. In addition, the Düsseldorf data center has two 10 kV feeds.
UPS systems and associated battery systems are redundant for each A and B supply and can bridge the power supply at 100 % maximum load for at least 15 minutes on A or B supply. Generator control is automatic so that in the event of a loss of power from a power supplier, the generator will start automatically. The fuel held in reserve is sufficient to provide uninterrupted power to the entire site for 24 hours.

Only special, non-flammable or flame-retardant materials have been used for the interiors of the colocation areas in the Düsseldorf data centre. Comprehensive fire suppression and fire protection systems are installed within the data centre.

Physical, technical and personnel security are guaranteed at the Connecta Park data center by a multi-level security system that includes permanent monitoring of the site and buildings as well as control of the colocation areas and individual systems:

- Video surveillance system for the building in combination with a hazard alarm system
- Access control via contactless smart card and biometric fingerprint scanners
- Closed-circuit video surveillance of doors and entrances with automatic intrusion alarm
- Various sensors inside and outside the buildings for intrusion detection
